Christmas markets in Milan

DECEMBER IN MILAN – CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY

The Immaculate Conception Day holiday is approaching in Italy, along with the celebrations for Saint Ambrose, Milan’s patron saint. Here are some of the events that will fill the city’s squares before the Christmas holidays:

Markets:

Sforza Castle – “O bei, o bei” Christmas Market

From December 5th to 8th, 2025, the historic “O bei, o bei” market will be held in the splendid setting of the Sforza Castle. The market dates back to the 1500s and takes its name from the exclamations of joy that Milanese children would shout upon receiving gifts from the papal envoy. You’ll find traditional foods and crafts.
