AUTUMN EVENTS

AUTUMN EVENTS

Summer is drawing to a close, and the city is coming back to life with a host of events. Here are a few highlights!

Music

MiTo Settembre in Musica

September 6–20

The 20th edition of MiTo Settembre in Musica—the city’s renowned festival bringing music to venues across the area—returns. This year’s theme is “Harmonia,” celebrating diversity and the desire to bring different elements into harmonious balance; the festival reminds us that every voice finds its true meaning only when listening to another. Events

Milano Beauty Week

September 16–20

The fifth edition of Milano Beauty Week returns; this year’s theme is “essentiality,” chosen to highlight cosmetics as allies in self-care. A vast array of events is planned, ranging from dermatology conferences to “olfactory walks.” Charitable initiatives are also included: a “Love is in the Air” corner will feature professional hairstylists offering their expertise in exchange for donations. Proceeds will go to the association *La forza e il sorriso E.T.S.*, which organizes beauty workshops for people undergoing cancer treatment.

Milano Digital Week

September 30 – October 4

This city-wide, collaborative event focused on digital development and innovation returns to Milan. This edition centers on the theme of “The Generative City“—a city capable of creating new connections, opportunities, and forms of participation through digital technology and Artificial Intelligence, without losing sight of the human element.

Theater

Arcimboldi – Pablo Trincia: “L’uomo sbagliato” (The Wrong Man)

September 23–24

In this show at the Teatro Arcimboldi, journalist Pablo Trincia retraces the legal case of Stefano Cucchi using documents, testimonies, and images, creating a performance, where news reporting transforms into civic consciousness.

Teatro Nazionale – Sister Act, the Musical

October 8 – January 16

Based on the iconic 1992 film, the show returns featuring the same direction by Chiara Noschese—which ensured its original success—and the unstoppable performances of the Compagnia della Rancia.
