The Monza circuit has been chosen as the Italian venue for the event since 1922.

The Italian GP Weekend follows the usual pattern, with the free practice sessions, qualifications and the race taking place according to the following times (CET):

Free Practice 2 (FP2): Friday September 5th at 5:00 pm
Free Practice 3 (FP3): Saturday September 6th at 12:30 pm
Qualifying 1: Saturday September 6th at 4:00 pm
Qualifying 2: Saturday September 6th at 4:25pm
Qualifying 3: Saturday September 6th at 4:48 pm
Grid: Saturday September 6th at 5:00 pm
Race: Sunday September 7th at 3:00 pm
