A new stencil-poster installation by Pablo Pinxittells the story of a humanitarian project by the CESVI Foundation for the protection and emancipation of migrant women, victims of violence and abuse.

The choice of the context of the “Fuorisalone” event is particularly significant because it refers to the theme of violence in reference to the home, understood as a refuge and salvation, but also as a prison.

Acqua Lambro is an art-design-ecology project built around an “impossible idea”: transforming the water of one of the most polluted rivers in Europe into a prestigious mineral water. A playful project, but with a background of environmental activism, it consists of a sculpture-machine made with materials recovered from the river that uses filtering and evaporation to transform the river water into an “impossible” mineral water.

It showcases a selection of projects from the Department of Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering of the Politecnico di Milano, aimed at investigating a holistic approach to design.

Inspired by living organisms, systems are created that transform building envelopes into real skins, attributing and enhancing characteristics of control of solar radiation, humidity or natural ventilation; membranes capable of condensing humidity in the air and collecting it in order to reduce water consumption of drinking water, insulating systems obtained from the growth of living organisms or from the reuse of fibers from the recovery of no longer usable clothing.
